Since August 2024, Open Barbers have needed to make various changes as a result of financial losses. One of the areas that losses continue to occur is through our 45 minute clipper and scissor service, as some stylists actually require 60 minutes for this service.
For the past 8 months we have been including a 15 minute buffer at the end of 45 minute services for those stylists who need a full hour. We had intended to phase this out over time, but we now realise that this isn’t actually practical for more than half of the stylists.
As this is our most popular service this has resulted in a loss of earnings worth over £5,000 since August 2024. Sadly we can’t afford to continue this approach so instead we are creating 2 appointment types for the same service, one at 45 minutes and one at 60 minutes to accommodate our different stylists’ needs.
Prices from 1st April 2025:
45 minute services will be with Davidas, Greygory and Rachel and the Cost Price will be £29
60 minute services will be with Adae, Bae, Hugo and Nell and the Cost Price will be £37
As always, we encourage clients to pay what they can afford for their services; please make use of our subsidised pricing if that’s what you need to be able to continue using our services.
