It is with great sadness that we announce that our Director, Toddy, will be leaving us at the end of August to become the Director of another small organisation which is local to us and very dear to us also.  Toddy will be taking over as Director of Operations in Ivy Street Family Centre, and is looking forward to the new challenges and joys of working with this excellent charity.

Toddy says “This is such a great next step for me, combining skills from roles I’ve had in the past running playgroups and hiring out halls, as well as all the amazing admin and directorship skills I’ve learned these past 6 years.  I will miss the staff and the clients very much, but I won’t be far, and I’ll do my best to pop in – where else would I get my undercut refreshed, anyway??

Toddy joined Open Out in 2019 as an Admin and Reception Assistant and her hard work and contributions meant that we quickly promoted her to join the team of Directors in 2020. Her skills have shone in all areas, both on the shop floor and behind the scenes, where she has been working tirelessly to keep Open Out surviving and thriving. She helped us survive the scary times of COVID lockdowns and the challenges of re-opening with all the restrictions. Toddy played a key role in our migration to employee status for all staff and the magnificent recent re-brand from Open Barbers to Open Out! She will be sorely missed by all of the team and many of the clients with whom she has built a bond over the 6 years she has been with us, but we look forward to welcoming her and her family back to the salon whenever they need a trim!
